Born in Labor-Management Partnerships

Since 1969 LIUNA Training and every affiliate training center’s structure has been an equal representation of labor and management, backed by Contractors who employ LIUNA members and who support our training network. From this foundational collaboration, our LIUNA/Contractor training centers have developed successful partnerships with:

Community-Based Organizations

The strongest partnerships start locally and a LIUNA Training affiliate center has a comprehensive list of successes: minority, women, veterans, Tribal Nations, formerly incarcerated, LGBTQ+, faith-based, economic development, and many more. Different organizations all with the same goals: training and education, living wage jobs, benefits, and joint advocacy.

Redefining Education through Trade Training

Through Pre-Apprenticeship and the best High School CTE Program (LEARN™), we develop educational partnerships to provide youth with choices – apprenticeship and the world of work or a college education with a focus on the construction, environmental, and energy sectors. We do all this by impacting how students learn with our activity-based and interactive course design.
