Across the United States and Canada our local, national and international signatory contractors are working partners with LIUNA. LIUNA Training’s Contractor Connection is tangible, focused, productive and, yes, more than just a tagline. Contractors take an active role on LIUNA Training’s Board of Trustees and in every training center across the United States and Canada

From the Start

Since 1969 LIUNA Training and every affiliate training center’s structure has been an equal representation of labor and management. These are Contractors who employ LIUNA members and who support our training network. From this foundational collaboration, our LIUNA/Contractor training centers successfully meet the education and training needs of LIUNA members and contractor personnel.

Direct Involvement, Targeted Results

Our Employer Partners are involved in everything we do; curriculum development, specialty trade training, replacing an aging workforce, our LEARN High Schools, certification and licensing, apprenticeship, leadership training, and safety programs. Together we work with our contractors to build success through a trained, safe and productive workforce.

Real Support

With the support of LIUNA’S apprenticeship and training centers, contractors can focus on their jobs. From apprenticeship recruitment, recordkeeping, and compliance to tracking work and training hours, LIUNA Training and our North American registered apprenticeship programs have the personnel, technology, training and infrastructure to meet apprenticeship’s regulatory requirements. This means contractors can concentrate on their projects and getting the job done on time.
